PRINCIPAL MESSAGE

There can be immense pressure in our lives, to live up to the expectation of others like our family members, friends, peer groups, neighbors and the society. In Fact life is hard and we face many setbacks in life that can shatter our dearms leaving us with broken and helpless thought and feelings. When you go through such phases in life its important to talk to your parents, teachers or experienced elders who will listen to you with understanding. Relationship help us to remain calm and positive in times of feeling low.
In Japenese there is a term “KINTSUGI” which means to join with “Gold”, it’s the art of repairing what is broken.
If a bowl is broken rather than throwing it away the pieces and the fragments are put back together with a glue, like tree sap, and the cracks are adorned with golden paints. There are no attempts to hide the damage instead it’s highlighted. Kintsugi makes something new from a broken pot which is transformed to posses a different sort of beauty.
Dear Students, the philosophy of Kintsugi is an approach to life which comforts us when we face failures. The bowl may seem broken, the pieces scattered but this is an opportunity to put yourself back together with the golden touch. Your parents, your teachers, elders will be the golden glue that help you to heal your brokenness, failures. Allow them to listen to your difficulties, if you trust them with your problems they will stand with you. It’s the people who are associated and connected to you who act as the golden glue and help you look beautiful, whole and unique once again. Don’t be afraid of failures or loss.
Every time you feel upset, sad, afraid or feeling low, you must talk to some one will become your Kintsugi and you in turn must become the golden glue for others. May God keep you all happy, peaceful and healthy. Sr. Mini Philip
